School Group Visits
School group visits are welcome at the museum Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3 pm. All groups must complete the request form.
Museum Lesson
Museum lessons are designed and presented by a museum educator. They can be scheduled for grades pre-K to 12. They must be booked 4 weeks in advance. One adult chaperone for every five students is required. Please complete the request form.
When: Monday-Friday, 9 am – 3 pm
Duration: 30-60 minutes
Fee:
$5/student, pre-K to 8th grade
$10/student, 9th-12th grade
Free for Framingham Public Schools
Maximum group size: 30 students (adult chaperones are free)

Please note:
The Danforth is unable to schedule or admit oversized school groups. If your school group exceeds the limit, please contact the Learning & Engagement Manager Katherine Tako-Girard to discuss possible solutions.
Cancellations and Refunds: For full refunds, cancellations must be submitted within a minimum of 24 hours. Cancellations received within less than 24 hours and no-shows will not be refunded.
Teacher-Led Museum Lesson
The Danforth encourages school groups to visit with their teachers as guides. A request form is required for a Teacher-Led Museum Lesson. The maximum amount of students allowed is 30. One adult chaperone for every 5 students is required. Educators are required to make an advanced planning appointment with the Learning & Engagement Manager Katherine Tako-Girard.
Museum Lesson + Art Activity
We offer museum lessons followed by an art activity in the Danforth Art School studio. One adult chaperone for every 5 students is required.
When: Mondays, 9 – 3 pm
Duration: 2 hours
Fee: $18/student
Maximum group size: 20 students (adult chaperones are free)

Wee Artventures – A Book and A Look
Wee Artventures are developed for our youngest school groups (pre-K and Kindergarten). A museum educator will combine storytelling with artwork explorations. One adult chaperone for every 5 students is required.
Spring 2026 Theme – Holding Memories
