Elizabeth Clark Libert: Boy Crazy

Boy Crazy is a deeply personal, mixed-media installation which explores the effects of past sexual trauma on current parental anxieties. Elizabeth Clark Libert’s work speaks to processing and breaking generational trauma, dealing with the complexity of shame, and ultimately reclaiming agency. Through an immersive installation of atmospheric contemporary photographs, layered digital collages, and diaristic vignettes of the artist’s own writing, Libert finds catharsis and empowerment. Her work connects the experiences of three generations to reflect on themes of lost innocence, motherhood, and resilience.
