Lauren Graves is the associate curator of special collections at the Boston Athenaeum where she focuses on the photography collection. She is currently working on an exhibition on the bicentennial photography of Constantine Manos, Where’s Boston? 50 Years Later, scheduled to open in June, 2026, with an accompanying catalogue Constantine Manos: Bostonians. Previously she held curatorial positions at the MIT Museum and the National Gallery of Art and has taught art history courses at Boston University. She holds a PhD in art history from Boston University and a MA from Temple University.

Rachel joined the Danforth Art Museum as Collections Manager in 2019 and was promoted to Assistant Director in 2025. She has curated exhibitions including Indigenous Voices in Contemporary Art, Harvest, Foraged, Found, and several Juried Exhibitions. Previously, Rachel worked at the American Independence Museum in Exeter, New Hampshire as the Collections and Visitor Services Manager where she worked on exhibit development, management of collections and archives, and preservation of their two historic buildings. She has a Masters in Material Culture Studies from the University of Sheffield in England and a B.A. in Archaeology with minors in Museum Studies and Geology from SUNY Potsdam in upstate New York.
