Jasmine Chen’s Expensive Orphanage is a deeply personal reflection on her family life past and present. Her painting merges memories of her childhood in China with contemporary experiences. The image reflects her struggle to make sense of her place and identity across two different cultures. Join her in conversation with Katherine Tako-Girard, Learning & Engagement Coordinator, as they discuss her painting, her process, and motivations.
