Liz Albert: Family Fictions

The anonymous nature of the found snapshot is both mysterious and intriguing, and a key element of Liz Albert’s work.   Her series, Family Fictions, uses found images to create narratives that define a specific social and cultural time and place with sharp visual cues.  Her works point to a sliver of photographic time, when cameras were readily available, film easily developed, and the slide show was ubiquitous.

Reception Saturday, February 1, 6:00-8:00 p.m.; free and open to the public.
