Painting of a man in a brown suit jacket, leaning against a closet wall with one hand at his coat and the other reaching out to turn off a light switch. He is looking at the audience. A round paper light hangs from the ceiling, suits are hanging in the closet, and there are red wood shutters half open to the far right.

Brunch at the Danforth

Join the Danforth staff for our inaugural Brunch at the Danforth event!

Enjoy light brunch treats, coffee, tea, and mocktails while discovering fascinating facts about some of the portraits in the Danforth Art Museum’s Permanent Collection.

The Danforth’s collection includes portraiture from the early nineteenth century to today, and each work tells a different story. Join Curator Jessica Roscio and Collections Manager Rachel Passannante to learn some of the stories behind the portraits on view. Find out more about who had their portrait painted, why artists chose to depict figures in certain ways, and how making a portrait has changed over the past two hundred years.

Advance registration is required. Tickets are $25.00 for non-members and $15.00 for members.  Click Here to save your spot today!

This event is made possible by the Paul B. Rosenberg Museum Education fund.
