An immersive evening of music, art, and mind/body engagement

Back By Popular Demand!

Join us after public hours in the calm of a museum gallery for an immersive soundscape combining gentle movement, guided breath, and live music. This 90-minute program offers you an opportunity to slow down, and connect with works of art, music, and yourself.

Format and Flow of the Program:

  • 20-25 minutes of guided breath, gentle stretching, and noticing artwork on display with Nissa Diantina-Weiss, Yoga Teacher and Breath Guide
  • 40-45 minutes of live, meditative soundscapes with Professor Dave Fiuczynski, Berklee College of Music, on a custom double-neck guitar
  • 15-20 minutes of closing integration and reflection

Please wear comfortable clothing and bring your yoga mat. Danforth will provide chairs for anyone unable to sit on the floor.

Nissa Diantina-Weiss is a 200 hour Yoga certified teacher, with a background in teaching languages and theater. She is passionate about functional movement and human interaction. As Yoga offers the perfect framework to dwell into functional body/mind engagement, Nissa uses a wide range of tools to facilitate that safe space for your individual practice. Nissa teaches  meditation, vinyasa flow, hot and power yoga, animal movement, tribal dance, stretch and light manual therapy as the cornerstones of her framework. Nissa has been teaching in different studios in the MetroWest Area for the past 3 years, and has been practicing yoga for over 17 years.

David “FuZe” Fiuczynski is the leader of the underground cult band Screaming Headless Torsos and directs the Planet MicroJam Institute for microtonal studies at Berklee College of Music. Born in the US, David grew up in Germany where he was always interested in mixing and “fuzing” different music elements. His recent music melds traditional melodic elements from the Middle East, Asia, India, and Eastern Europe, with rock, funk, electronica, and other styles.
